Will Nani ever move to Juventus?

Manchester United‘s Nani has once again been linked with a move to Juventus

Juventus have been linked with a move for Manchester United winger Nani numerous times over the last year or so. Today Talksport have said that the Turin side are once again considering making a move for the player.

In the summer it looked a real possibility that Nani would leave Old Trafford. He hasn’t consistently impressed since his arrival from Sporting Lisbon, and many Manchester United fans think he should be moved on. In his six years at the club, he has produced some great performances and scored some fantastic goals too. But those performances don’t occur on a regular basis.

Therefore it was hugely surprising to see Nani offered a new contract at the club. David Moyes obviously believes he still has a lot to give to the club. The Portugal international signed a new deal in September that will see him tied down at the club until 2018. If Moyes has faith in Nani, which he obviously does, then Nani will be unlikely to seek a move anywhere else.

Juventus manager Antonio Conte reportedly wants to incorporate Nani in a 4-4-2 formation for his side, seeing him as the perfect winger to offer speed and width. However, if Conte was so keen on bringing Nani to the club then he should have made a move in the summer. Now Nani has signed a new contract at United it would take a very large offer to convince the Red Devils to sell.

Although Nani has committed his future to the club, he has only featured in four games this season. Antonio Valencia, Adnan Januzaj and Shinji Kagawa in recent weeks have been preferred in the wide roles. With Portugal’s place at the World Cup confirmed this week, Nani will want to assure that he keeps his place in the national side. If Juventus offer him first team football then he could be tempted.

With so many rumours, and links between the two there must surely be some interest there. We will see in January if they finally do make their move.
